Another edition (10 th ) of IPL has passed by. Mumbai Indians won the coveted trophy deservingly. Our very own Kolkata Knight Riders failed to rise to our expectations. We, Calcuttans are lamenting, naturally. Afterall, we are sports loving fraternity and when it comes to cricket, our passion goes overboard. When cricket conjugates with Bollywood, especially a star as big as Mr. Shah Rukh Khan, the whole scenario becomes frenzied. Unfortunately, achievements by a Bengal Tigress, in the field of sports, with its aura spread across global platform got eclipsed in this frenzy. The journey of Jhulan Goswami, a simple Bengali Girl from a very humble background to the pinnacle of world of cricket is simply outstanding and deserves special accolades. As far as prospect of respectable job is concerned, Calcutta is seriously having a dearth of it. By respectable job, it may be interpreted as, jobs, which can earn you your bread, while you apply your level of calibre. On the other hand, employers often find themselves in a situation, where they find it hard to track down eligible and worthy candidate for their requirement. It may sound paradoxical, but a detail assessment of the situation will reveal that, there are many reasons, like lesser number jobs with regard to eligible candidate or sometimes it is more a case of overestimation on one’s part about their propriety which leads to failure of finding each other. It is another case that the cream of the crop is running away, towards more lucrative carrier in other States, since those top notch employers are ambivalent to turn up to our State.  But this article though, is not about discussing these issues, since there are many wise men capable of discussing upon these issue...
